International Day for Monuments and Sites 2018
On April 18th, Portugal celebrates the International Day for Monuments and Sites with several events throughout the country. “Heritage for Generations” is the 2018’S theme.
This celebration is part of the European Year of Cultural Heritage, and it’s a chance to get to know Portugal’s secular heritage.
Lisbon’s monuments, museums and palaces are joining the festivities with a number of activities planned.
As in previous years, there will be no shortage of walks, exhibitions, guided tours, leisure activities... and much more, in a day that can be celebrated by everyone.
At the monuments and sites managed by the Direção-Geral do Património Cultural the entrance is free.
