Festival Santa Casa Alfama 2021

After the success of the previous editions, the festival “Santa Casa Alfama” returns for another 2 days where Fado is king.

Lisbon hosts the return of the Festival Santa Casa Alfama for its 9th edition, celebrating Fado in its most emblematic district: Alfama.

The Festival Santa Casa Alfama had its first edition in 2013, this 9th edition will take place on September 24th and 25th, in a celebration that the true lovers of this Portuguese song can no longer go without.

With the continuous goal of getting in touch with the Portuguese identity in the most traditional alleys of Lisbon’s neighborhood, the success of previous editions proves that the public is interested in this thing called the Portuguese soul.

After a 2020 edition dedicated to Amália Rodrigues, this year Santa Casa Alfama presents itself, with a program that will honor another great name in Fado and Portuguese music: Carlos do Carmo.
